For people who make things — posts, video, art, writing, graphics — who want to start making them, or who want to help run the network. Approved applicants get the LAN Member role: the full community, plus the members' tools on this site.

Whether you’re a creator or a supporter, there’s a place for you in LAN.
Membership is free, and there are two ways in: as a content creator, or as a supporter who wants to help amplify. Everything happens inside the LAN Discord server — you apply, verify your identity, and get reviewed by the community there. Here's the whole path.

Booster
For people who mainly want to back the network and amplify it. You don't have to make content to be useful here. Approved Boosters get their own section of the server, where members' posts that need reach get posted, and boost them from their own accounts.
Both tracks are free, both run through the same Discord application, and both are held to the same community review — a Booster isn't a weaker application, it's a different job. You tell us what you're hoping to do; advisors decide which role fits.
The steps
Five stages1Check in at the doorWhen you join, you'll land in a screening area before you get full access. Tell us how you heard about us and your X/Twitter handle — a quick pre-check before we let you into the community.
2ApplyIn the server, run
/apply and fill out the short form — your social profiles, a bit about you, and what you're applying as: Content Creator, Aspiring Content Creator, Volunteer, Supporter, or any combination. Pick everything that applies; it tells advisors what you're hoping to do here.3Follow & get your codeFollow @LiberalActNet on X, then request your code. It's sent to you by direct message — following is what lets us reach you.
4VerifyRun
/verify-twitter with the code from your DM. That proves the account is yours and earns you the Twitter Verified role.5Get reviewedAdvisors review verified applicants and decide which role fits. LAN Member is full access — the community and the members' tools on this site. LAN Booster is the supporter role — your own section of the server, where members' posts that need reach get posted. Both come out of the same review, and a single objection blocks either one.
Started as a Booster and now making content? Reapply for full membership any time — run /apply again, or just ask in your Booster channel. A Booster coming back with content is an expected path, not a mark against you.
Why Discord? It keeps membership tied to a real, verified identity and lets the community vet applicants directly — no anonymous web form to game.
Selective, but never secretive. We're deliberate about who joins, but our purpose, principles, and leadership are open to anyone who asks.
It's free. There's no cost to join, and no cost to stay a member.
